Contact

If you require advice or representation in relation to an Inquest, you are welcome to get in touch.

I am happy to have an initial discussion to understand the circumstances of the case and to advise on the next steps.

How to Make Contact

You may contact me directly on the email address below and I will reply to you promptly:

What to Include

If possible, it is helpful to provide:

  • The name of the person who has died and a brief summary
  • The Coroner’s jurisdiction (if known)
  • The current stage of the Inquest
  • Any upcoming hearing dates

You do not need to have all this information before making contact.

After an initial email exchange, my Clerks (from Exchange Chambers) will typically arrange a phonecall / online meeting between us.

Legal Aid and Funding

Legal Aid may be available in certain cases, particularly where Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights is engaged. I can advise on eligibility and assist with applications for Exceptional Case Funding where appropriate.

Planned changes to the law meant that Legal Aid will shortly become available for many more bereaved families – we can discuss if this is likely to assist you.

Confidentiality

All enquiries are treated in confidence.

Location

I represent families at inquests across England and Wales and can easily travel to the location of your Inquest.

Early advice can be important in shaping the scope and direction of an inquest. If you are unsure whether representation is required, you are welcome to seek initial guidance.
